DESCRIPTION: \nAnaheim High will honor alumni who perished while serving their country from WWI to the War on Terror at a Veterans’ Day celebration Monday\, Nov. 7\, at the school’s Cook Auditorium. The 3 to 5 p.m. event is free and open to the public. \nA highlight of the program will be the release of a booklet entitled “A Salute to Anaheim High Fallen Heroes and Colonist Veterans.” Started in 2009 by the AHS Alumni Association\, the booklet will include bios and photos of more than 60 alumni who died while in service\, as well as stories of how the wars affected the lives of Anaheim residents. \n“We’re working to ensure that our Anaheim High veterans\, who served in the Pacific\, Atlantic and all parts of the world in all branches of the military\, will never be forgotten\,” said Daisy Vuksanovich\, a Class of 1946 graduate who heads the AHSAA Veterans Committee. \nTo submit the name of a graduate who has served in the Armed Forces\, please fill out the AHSAA Military Form and email back to anaheimalumni@yahoo.com or mail to AHSAA\, P.O. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to inform you that Anaheim High School’s Associated Student Body (ASB) will be holding its 6th annual Colony 5K Run/Walk on April 18\, 2015. This event has grown in size over the last few years\, and we expect it to be even more successful this year. \n The race is a fund-raiser for Anaheim’s ASB (the student-run group that oversees all clubs and student activities on campus)\, and the proceeds will benefit the activities program at Anaheim High School. While most such programs at other schools in the area get their funding from the sale of ASB cards to students\, the economic situation of many of our students means that Anaheim High tends to sell very few of them. We are hoping this event will grow to a point that we are able to have a budget on par with other schools in the region so that our students can have a program that enriches their time at school. \n In order to ensure the success of the Colony 5K\, we would like to offer you an opportunity to financially support the event. We would be happy to receive cash donations or donations of goods and services. You will be supporting student activities\, and any donations you make will be tax-deductible. \n We have several levels of sponsorship available to you based on the cash amount or value of your donation. They are as follows: \n Gold Sponsor:     $500+                      \n Blue Sponsor:    $200                     \n Friend of the Colony:  $100 \nIn return for your sponsorship\, we will include your name and logo on the 5K t-shirts – larger donations get more space on the shirts.
