DESCRIPTION:We are excited to inform you that Anaheim High School’s Associated Student Body (ASB) will be holding its 6th annual Colony 5K Run/Walk on April 18\, 2015. This event has grown in size over the last few years\, and we expect it to be even more successful this year. \n The race is a fund-raiser for Anaheim’s ASB (the student-run group that oversees all clubs and student activities on campus)\, and the proceeds will benefit the activities program at Anaheim High School. While most such programs at other schools in the area get their funding from the sale of ASB cards to students\, the economic situation of many of our students means that Anaheim High tends to sell very few of them. We are hoping this event will grow to a point that we are able to have a budget on par with other schools in the region so that our students can have a program that enriches their time at school. \n In order to ensure the success of the Colony 5K\, we would like to offer you an opportunity to financially support the event. We would be happy to receive cash donations or donations of goods and services. You will be supporting student activities\, and any donations you make will be tax-deductible. \n We have several levels of sponsorship available to you based on the cash amount or value of your donation. They are as follows: \n Gold Sponsor:     $500+                      \n Blue Sponsor:    $200                     \n Friend of the Colony:  $100 \nIn return for your sponsorship\, we will include your name and logo on the 5K t-shirts – larger donations get more space on the shirts. SUMMARY:AHS Alumni Association "Spring Fling" Membership Drive
DESCRIPTION:Alumni\, friends and family are invited to the Anaheim High School Alumni Association (AHSAA) “Spring Fling Membership Drive Kick-Off Party” to be held June 16 at the newly opened Founders’ Park. \nThe event\, set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.\, will mark the Alumni Association’s fourth year of incorporation and help raise funds for student scholarships\, campus improvement projects and preservation efforts. Through alumni contributions\, the AHSAA has donated $35\,000 to these efforts. \nThe “Spring Fling” will also provide Colonists with an occasion to celebrate Anaheim ‘s rich heritage with docent-led tours of the Mother Colony House built in 1857\, the Woelke-Stoffel House\, a two-story Queen Anne built in 1894 during Anaheim’s citrus era\, and the new Carriage House and Pump House\, typical outbuildings in 19th century Anaheim. \nFounders’ Park\, located adjacent to the school’s athletic field at 400 N. West St.\, is also home of the City’s first Landmark Tree\, a Moreton Bay Fig that provides expansive shade for those exploring the park’s walk ways and trails which feature interpretive signage telling the story of Anaheim’s pioneers. \nRefreshments will be served. The annual AHSAA membership fee is $25. Parking at Founders Park is limited and will be designated for seniors.
